In September, Stonewall Links will be hosting the 36th United States Mid-Amateur Championship. Stonewall sits in Chester County on over 380 sprawling acres. The club boasts two outstanding championship golf courses. We realize that volunteering nine days of your time in September is a huge commitment, but without your help, this championship would not be possible.
We are currently compiling a list of individuals interested in volunteering as a member of the Stonewall Grounds Staff from September 8th-15th. We will begin with a mandatory orientation meeting at 4pm on Wednesday, September 7th, at the old course maintenance building. Volunteers will be provided tournament shirts, hats, meals, rooms for out of town colleagues and shuttle services. We ask that volunteers provide their own green collared golf shirts from September 8th till September 11th. We will provide four shirts for the rest of the championship. Please wear khaki pants, no cargo shorts permitted for the entire week and also be prepared for inclement weather.
If you are interested in volunteering for the 2016 U.S. Mid-Amateur Championship, please fill out the form [2016 United States Mid-Am volunteer form] and e-mail it to 2016usmidamateurstonewall@gmail.com by July 10th. Additional information concerning accommodations, transportation and other specifics will be addressed in later corresponding emails so please make sure an email address is provided on your form.
Thank you in advance for your time. We look forward to having you as a volunteer for the 2016 U.S. Mid-Amateur Championship.
Sincerely,
Daniel Dale
Golf Course Superintendent
